Welcome to the Workshop! If you’re looking for a little plastic incarnation of your larger than life gaming alter ego, we have you covered. These 3D printed miniatures are waiting for a good home in your tabletop adventures and shenanigans. So, what do you get?
Vognar Cuthroats from Miniatures of Madness. Base is optional. For the base pictured with the miniature, choose Pictured Base. Pictured base only comes in round. If you'd like another shape, the stone base is a good choice. Miniatures Of Madness/Hold My Dwarf models are scaled for 32mm, unlike our other models. We can scale them down 10% upon request.
The model will come in dark grayish blue premium resin, but unpainted and not primed, as well as unassembled. If a bit is pictured in orange in the photo above, it’s included. In some of the photos we’ve taken ourselves a base may be attached solely to make the model stand up for it’s photoshoot. These minis are scaled for standard 28mm and will fit right in with most commercially available models you may already have in your party. Also in some of our own photos there is a painted model for scale. That painted model is not included and not for sale right now, but an unpainted copy can be gotten from the Human Female Paladin On Foot listing.
About those bases. These models are printed and shipped as created by the designer. Some models come from them with base toppers or rocky bits and such to fit the pose, like if it’s got it’s foot up on a stone in front of it. That will be included, and the best base for those will be a flat base. The toppers are smaller in diameter than the base, and sit on top. The bases are also 3D printed, and our default shape is round. If you would prefer an oval or a square, or larger than standard, please drop a note in the Personalization box. We’d also be happy to “mix and match” base types if you go for the All Three discounted option.
**Some assembly may be required**
Larger models may need to be assembled when you get them. We’ll print them up, test fit them, and pack them as they are safely in pieces.
Tank and I spent a lot of time finding the perfect resin to maintain both detail retention and durability for normal gaming situations, and then some. We’ve settled on a mixed resin that gives amazing detail and has just enough flexibility. I still wouldn’t throw them down the hallway, but they should easily handle a session with a well meaning child or giant mutant cat invasion of your perfectly laid out scene.
If you receive your order with any broken bits, missing bits, misshapen bits, damage or holes, we’ll replace it free if you let us know within a few days of receipt. Some light sanding may be visible especially on the bottoms, but we use 3000 grit sandpaper to minimize that. It is, however just the nature of the technology. Sometimes the supports leave a little bit there and we try to remove it as cleanly as possible. If you do find a nub of one on a model, they can removed just like you would remove mould lines or sprue connections from the commercial injection moulded stuff out there. Some models are posed with the sword tip down as If it is stuck in the ground. These will have a flat tip, it’s not broken. Please bear that in mind when ordering.
Your model will be printed when ordered in the turn the order was received, normally within a few business days, and shipped via USPS. We’ll let you know when the deed has been done and when it’s on it’s way. How long it takes after that is in the carrier’s hands.
We can be reached either through Etsy messages or email at tanksworkshop [!at] gmail.com. We’d love to hear about what these minis are getting up to, or if you have ideas for how we can better serve the gaming community.
